ROANOKE, VA – During the second day of the Roanoke Invitational, the Penn State Abington men's soccer team were defeated by No-19 ranked Lynchburg College 4-0, on Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions will fall to 1-3 after today's loss.
The Hornets were the first team on the board in the 30
th minute, but the Nittany Lions continued to press with 10 shots in the half and forced the keeper to make six saves. The defense held the nationally ranked hornets to only one goal going into the break.
In the second half the Hornets pushed their lead with three more goals to put the game out of reach for the Nittany Lions.
Abington returns home to host Wesley College on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
