Overtime Goal Halts Men's Soccer, 2-1

ASTON, Pa. -  An early goal from Jose Palomeque (Upper Dublin, Pa.) gave the Penn State Abington men's soccer team the lead, but a late goal from Neumann forced overtime where the Knights found the winner in a 2-1 win on Saturday afternoon.  The Nittany Lions fall to 2-4 for the season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Ty Morris did work between the pipes facing 25 shots and making 14 saves a career high for the Flemington, NJ native.

Palomeque scored his team leading third goal of the season in the 17th minute of action when he took advantage of a favorable bounce and headed it into the net.

The Nittany Lions defense held firm until the 83rd minute when the Knights tied the game with a goal from Billy Swontek and forced overtime.  Seven minutes into overtime the Knights Jake McDevitt blasted a shot to the bottom left corner to give the Knights their second win of the season.

The Nittany Lions will return to action on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Eastern University at 4:00 p.m.
