Men's Soccer Edges Wilson, 3-1

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team earned their first conference win of the season with a 3-1 win over Wilson College on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions bounce back to 3-5 for the season and 1-0 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

The Nittany Lions came into the game with momentum, and earned a corner in the 12th minute. On the corner Jose Palomeque (Upper Dublin, Pa.) curled in a ball for Sean Seidenburg (Rockledge Pa.) that he headed in for his second goal of the season.  Later in the half Chris Halasa (Levittown Pa.) opened his account with a goal in the 34th minute to take a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, the Nittany Lions held firm and Liam Scalley (Dorado, PR) scored his first collegiate goal in the 77th minute to extend Abington's lead over Wilson. The Pheonix earned a goal back in the 84th minute, but couldn't overcome the Nittany Lions.

Abington will be back in action with a big conference match against local rival Bryn Athyn on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
