ABINGTON, Pa. –The Penn State Abington women's picked up a critical conference victory after a thrilling 3-2 win over the College of Saint Elizabeth in the first game of the day. In the second game of the Tri-match the Nittany Lions fell to Delaware Valley 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.  The Nittany Lions move to 6-6 overall and 2-0 in the NEAC.

Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Nittany Lions with 13 kills between both games. Sophomore
Megan Szanajda (Southampton, Pa.) earned nine service aces, including seven against CSE that changed the tide of the match.
A sluggish first set for the Nittany Lions put them in a hole with a 25-14 loss to the Eagles. A fired up Nittany Lions squad responded with a 25-16 win in the second set to tie the match 1-1.  The Eagles soared back and took a 2-1 lead in the match with a 25-19 victory in the third set. With the match on the line, the Nittany Lions dominated the fourth set with a 25-15 win to force a fifth set. In a back-and-forth thrilling fifth set, the Nittany Lions earned a gritty 20-18 decision to remain undefeated in the conference.
In the second match of the day the Nittany Lions faced off against nonconference Delaware Valley, but couldn't find any momentum in the match. Abington fell in three sets with 25-21, 25-12, 25-15 losses to be swept by the Aggies.
The Nittany Lions will be back in action at home on Wednesday night when they host Lancaster Bible at 7:00 p.m.
