READING, Pa. – The Penn State Women's volleyball team traveled to Albright College for a tri-math against the Lions and Rutgers-Camden. Unfortunately, the Nittany Lions came away empty handed with two 3-0 losses on Saturday afternoon. Abington falls to 6-9 for the season after today's games.
Junior
Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the way for the Nittany Lions with 11 kills for the day, while
Cori Watson (Harleysville, Pa.) racked up 33 digs between both matches.
The Nittany Lions faced off against Rutgers-Camden in the first match of the day but fell in three sets 25-15, 25-16, and 25-19. In the second match of the day the Nittany Lions faced off against the hosting Albright Lions, but again fell in three sets with a close 25-20 defeat in the first set, a 25-15 decision against the Nittany Lions, and a 25-9 loss in the final set.
Abington looks to rebound when the continue their road trip against cross-town rival Bryn Athyn College on October 4, at 7:00 p.m.
