Nittany Lions Outlast Wolves, 4-3

ABINGTON, PA. – Down early in the second half the Penn State Abington men's soccer team rallied to take down Keuka College 4-3, on Saturday afternoon. Abington improves to 10-4 overall and remains undefeated in the conference at 8-0, in pole position to host the NEAC Conference tournament for the second year in a row.

Senior Dmitri Bourlako (Huntingdon Valley, PA) had a career day with two goals and sophomore Jose Palomeque (Upper Dublin, PA) added two more assists to bring his total seven, tied for first in the NEAC.

The Nittany Lions were shocked in the first half when Samba Doukhansy netted the game's first goal to give the Wolves the lead in the 17th minute.  Abington struggled in their chances with six, and none of them challenged the keeper, down 1-0 at the half.

It didn't take long for the Nittany Lions to regroup after the disappointing half.  Sophomore Sebastian Krysztofowicz (Doylestown, PA) tied the game when he put in off the free kick. Bourlako put in his first of the season when he slotted his shot past the keeper to give the Nittany Lions the 2-1 lead in the 58th minute.   Only minutes later the senior made it 3-1 when he headed the ball in off a free kick.  The Wolves responded quickly when they earned a goal off a corner kick in the 62nd minute.  Senior Sean Seidenburg (Rockledge PA) gave the Nittany Lions some breathing room with his goal off a corner in the 67th minute.  Keuka didn't go down quietly by netting a third goal in the 72nd minute, but the Nittany Lions held off the Wolves to earn the win.

Abington will travel to SUNY Poly next weekend to face off against the Wildcats in an important conference match at 3:00 p.m.
