Nittany Lions Shut Out SUNY Poly, 2-0

UTICA, NY – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team kept their unbeaten conference streak alive with a 2-0 shutout of SUNY Poly on Saturday afternoon.  With the win the Nittany Lions improve to 11-4 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the conference. After today the Nittany Lions have secured home field advantage throughout the NEAC Tournament and their third regular season title.

Freshman Esteban Leon (Miami, FL) kept the Nittany Lions perfect with seven saves on ten shots from the Wildcats.

Sophomore Sebastian Krysztofowicz (Doylestown, PA) put the Nittany Lions up early in the 8th minute after poaching a ball to the left post.  Senior Dmitri Bourlako (Huntingdon Valley, PA) kept up his hot streak with his third goal in two games, in the 28th minute of the match to put the Nittany Lions up 2-0.'

The Wildcats pressed the Nittany Lions in the second half but Leon stonewalled the hosts to earn his fifth clean sheet of the season.

Abington will continue their road trip tomorrow when they face off a against SUNY Cobleskill at 2:00 p.m.
