ABINGTON, PA. – The Penn State Abington women's soccer team hosted NEAC leaders Keuka College, but couldn't pull off the upset in a 4-0 loss on Saturday afternoon. After the loss the Nittany Lions fall to 3-8-3 and 1-6-1 in the NEAC.
The Wolves out-shot the Nittany Lions 15-7 and forced senior goalkeeper
Samantha Friend (Southampton, PA) to make six saves.
Keuka got onto the board in the 10
th minute, and doubled the lead with another goal in the 15
th minute. Â Later in the first half freshman Abby Richards scored her first goal of the season to give Keuka the 3-0 lead. In the second half the Wolves added another goal in the 71
st minute to put away the match.
The Nittany Lions will travel to SUNY Poly next Saturday and face the Wildcats at 1:00 p.m.
