ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY. – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team traveled up to New York to face Bard, but fell 3-0 on Friday night. Abington falls to 6-21 for the season.
Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) led all scorers in the match with 19 kills and junior
Cortney Schwar (Annandale, NJ) set the Nittany Lions up with 27 assists.
Abington struggled in the first and second set falling to the Raptors 25-15 in both games. The Nittany Lions regrouped and pressed Bard holding a slim lead late in the third set, but the hosts pulled ahead and won the match with a 28-26 score.
The Nittany Lions will stay in New York to face off against John Jay College at 12:00 p.m. and Maritime College at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow to wrap up their season.
