ABINGTON, P.A.- The Penn State Abington women's basketball team picked up their first conference win on Wednesday evening by defeating NEAC opponent Gallaudet University 75-69. The Nittany Lions improved to 4-1 on the season.

Senior guard Shayna Rodriguez (Philadelphia, PA)led the way with 18 points and right behind her were juniors Sydney Barrow (Philadelphia, PA) with 15 points, and Laquana Nagbe (Philadelphia, PA) who tallied 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The Nittany Lions opened the first quarter hot by scoring 20 points against the Bison. Abington continued to lead, heading into halftime with a score of 34-30 and shooting 50% from behind the 3-point arc.

In the second half, Abington battled to produce more points with 18 in the 3rd, and 23 in the fourth. This was Abington's second highest scoring offensive game. Up next, the Nittany Lions will host NEAC opponent Penn College on Saturday December 1st for a 12:00pm tip off.
