ABINGTON, P.A.- On Saturday afternoon, the Penn State Abington women's basketball team improved to 5-1 on the season after defeating NEAC opponent, Penn College 82-71. Abington is now 2-0 in conference play.

The Nittany Lions trailed the Wildcats 18-14 after a slow first quarter start. The offense sparked a fire heading into halftime with a 40-36 lead over Penn College.
Freshman Wynter Bess (Philadelphia, PA) led the offense with her season high of 25 points. Junior Sydney Barrow (Philadelphia, PA)sunk 19 points, and senior Shayna Rodriguez (Philadelphia, PA) dropped 18 points. Junior Laquana Nagbe's (Philadelphia, PA) stellar performance earned her a double double tallying 10 points and 17 rebounds. Freshman Nyjah Moody also scored her season high of 3 points.
The Nittany Lions forced the Wildcats into 27 turnovers. This was Abington's highest scoring game of the season.

Abington will be back in action next Saturday Dec. 8th when they host Neumanm University for a 1:00pm tip off.
