ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team hosted NEAC South power Gallaudet, but couldn't come away with a win in the 71-56 loss on Valentines. The Nittany Lions drop to 13-10 overall and 8-7 in the conference.
Despite the loss the Nittany Lions have punched their ticket to the NEAC playoffs for the fourth consecutive year.
Junior guard
Shayna Rodriguez (Philadelphia, PA) led the Nittany Lions with 28 points, while sophomore
Alyssa O'Mara (Huntingdon Valley, PA) did the dirty work on the boards with eight rebounds, a season high.
The Nittany Lions with a 37 percent average from the floor while the Chargers hit 40 percent of their shots. Lancaster Bible controlled the paint outscoring the Nittany Lions 34-24, while earning 18 second chance points.
The Nittany Lions will wrap up the regular season at Gallaudet this Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
