MARCY, NY -Â The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team traveled to SUNY Poly but fell shy of the win, in an 18-6 defeat on Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fall to 1-9 for the season overall and 1-4 in the conference.

Michaela Mast (Pottstown, Pa.) led the Nittany Lions with three goals for the day. Defensively
Marleigh Nociti (Levittown, PA) earned four ground balls and caused two turnovers for the Nittany Lions.

Abington started the game hot with three consecutive goals in the first seven minutes of action. The Wildcats regrouped and responded with seven unanswered goals to take a commanding lead. Freshman
Allison Felicetti (Willow Grove, PA) stopped the run with her 22
nd goal of the season with six minutes remaining.

Unfortunately in the second half the Wildcats shut down the Nittany Lions attack to earn their fourth win of the season.

Abington will be back in action when they host Hilbert College on Saturday April 21
st, at noon.
