ABINGTON, PA – Behind a huge day from senior
Michaela Mast (Pottstown, Pa.) and freshman
Allison Felicetti (Willow Grove, PA) the Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team bounced back in a 21-6 win over Hilbert on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions improve to 2-9 overall and 2-4 in the NEAC.
Mast and Felicetti tied each other with six goals apiece, and defensively
Marleigh Nociti (Levittown, PA) dominated with seven ground balls, six draw controls and four caused turnovers.
Sophomore
Jillian Stokes (Mayfair, PA) kicked off the game with her goal only two minutes in, but the Hawks quickly responded with a goal of their own.Â
Melissa Felicetti (Willow Grove, PA) took back the lead with her first goal of the game, and seconds later
Sarah Eisele (Langhorne, PA) added to the total. With only 11 minutes left to go in the half the Nittany Lions held a slim 6-4 advantage. The Nittany Lions caught fire and scored eight consecutive goals to give them a 14-4 lead at the break.
Abington controlled the second half, with the first goal coming from Nociti, only a minute after halftime. The Nittany Lions continued to hold off the Hawks with the lead never being in doubt on their way to the second win of the season.
Tomorrow Abington will honor seniors

Lindsey Detweiler (Willow Grove, PA) for their hard work and contribution to the program.
The Nittany Lions will host Medaile in the final home game of the season at noon.
