ABINGTON, PA -Â The Penn State Abington softball team hosted Wilson College for senior day, but couldn't steal a win away from the Phoenix on Thursday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fall to 6-20 after a 10-2 loss in game one and 11-1 defeat in game two.

Caitlin Brasier (Levittown, PA) for her fantastic career with Abington.
In the first game the Phoenix opened with the first five runs on the board, but the Nittany Lions answered in the fourth inning. Freshman
Jackie McMenamin (Oreland, PA) drove in the first run of the game, and later scored after a sharp hit by
Cara Shackelford (Douglassville, PA ). The Phoenix exploded in the 5
th inning with a bases clearing triple to put the game out of reach for the Nittany Lions.
The Nittany Lions struggled at the plate in game two with only two hits. Shackelford drove in the only run of the game in the fourth inning after a towering hit to left field for a sacrifice fly.
The Nittany Lions will close their season on the road when they travel to Lancaster Bible on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
