ABINGTON, Pa – Despite dropping game one 3-1 against SUNY Cobleskill, Abington had an impressive game two that resulted in them winning 12-0 in just five innings. Senior
Becca Dougherty (Churchville, Pa.) pitched both games and had a total of 12 strikeouts in the double header. Abington record now stands at 1-1 in the NEAC and 2-10 overall.

In the first game, Senior
Caitlin Brasier (Levittown, PA) reached second base after her hit landed deep in center field which gave Abington a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Cobleskill would then score three unanswered run and win the first game.

After taking a comfortable 4-0 lead, the Nittany Lions were red hot at the plate during the bottom of the 4
th inning. Freshman
Cassondra Towle (Lambertville, NJ) landed hit that knocked in two RBIs with her single to center field. Moments later, Junior
Samantha Friend (Southampton, PA) singled through the left side of the field for Abington. Her hit added two more runs coming home and a getting another runner to first base. The Nittany Lions would go on and score four more runs in the game. Defensively, Abington only allowed one hit and earned the shutout win alongside a stout performance from Dougherty.
