ABINGTON, PA – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team opened the season with a home tri-match, but couldn't come away with a win. In the first match the Nittany Lions fell to Kings 3-0, and in game two Abington fell 3-0 as well.

Sophomore
Lauren O'Keeffe (Yardley, PA)led the team in kills for the day with seven, and
Cortney Schwar (Annandale, NJ) picked up 15 assists between both matches. Defensively
Elizabeth Erhart (Ciudad de Panama, Panama) picked up 17 digs for the day.

Abington dropped the first match 25-11, 25-10, and 25-12 to Kings College, and 25-16, 25-19, 25-13 to Cedar Crest College.

The Nittany Lions will look to rebound tomorrow with another tri-match at Valley Forge starting at 1:00 p.m.
