MORRISTOWN, NJ – On the road at the College of Saint Elizabeth, the Penn State Abington women's volleyball team dropped a conference match to the Eagles 3-2 on Wednesday night. The Nittany Lions fall to 2-8 for the season and 0-1 in the NEAC.
Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) led the attack with 13 kills and
Cortney Schwar (Annandale, NJ) racked up 18 assists for the Nittany Lions. Defensively,
Angie Tabares (Hackensack, NJ) recorded 21 digs for the match.
The Nittany Lions came out hot in the first set with a 25-12 decision over the College of Saint Elizabeth. In the second set the Eagles rebounded with a 25-18 over the Nittany Lions. Abington earned a tough 25-23 win in the third set, but St. Elizabeth shifted momentum earning wins in the fourth and fifth set to clinch the match.
Abington returns home on Friday evening when they host Bryn Athyn College at 7:00 p.m.
