Nittany Lions Continue Streak With 2-0 Win Over Cazenovia

ABINGTON, PA – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team continued its dominance of the NEAC winning their 16th straight NEAC game in a 2-0 win over Cazenovia College on Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions improve to 8-2 overall and 6-0 in the conference.

Abington was first on the board when Hernando Villamil (Philadelphia, PA)converted a penalty kick in the 26th minute to take a 1-0 lead over the Wildcats.  In the physical match between both teams, the Nittany Lions held off the Wildcats only allowing two shots in the first half.

In the second half Cazenovia pressed, but the Nittany Lions doubled the lead with a goal from Sebastian Perkowski (Fountainville, PA) in the 65th minute. The Wildcats finished the game with six shots and placed four on target, but the visitors couldn't beat freshman goalkeeper Esteban Leon (Miami, FL).

Abington is set to host Rutgers Camden on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
