Nittany Lions Blank Bryn Athyn, 5-0

BRYN ATHYN, PA – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team earned their first win of the season in a 5-0 rout over Bryn Athyn College on Wednesday night.  Abington improves to 1-2 for the season.

In the attack Sebastian Perkowski (Fountainville, PA) opened his collegiate account with two goals against the Lions.  The freshman forward struck in the 19th minute of the first half and later in the second half, completed the brace in the 69th minute.

The Nittany Lions were on the board first in the 13th minute when Jaden Truskey (Ephrata, PA) earned his first career goal with a header from eight yards out.  Perkowski double the lead after he broke down the right side and scored his first goal of the game. Freshman David Panea (Philadelphia, PA) earned another goal only moments later to give the Nittany Lions a commanding 3-0 lead in the first half.

After the break the Nittany Lions would find the back of the net again in the 62nd minute when Jose Palomeque (Upper Dublin, PA) notched his first goal of the season.  Later in the 69th minute Perkowski put the game out of reach with his second goal of the night.

The Nittany Lions continue their season on the road when they travel to Penn College for their first conference game of the season. The Nittany Lions will kick off on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
