GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA – After being moved from Abington, the women's volleyball team traveled to Gwynedd Mercy but fell to the Griffins in a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday night.  With the loss the Nittany Lions fall to 2-3 for the season.

Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) made her return to the floor with eight kills in the match, while Kiera O'Keeffe (Yardley, PA) racked up 13 assists on the evening.

The Nittany Lions struggled in the first set with 10 errors which caused them to drop the first point of the match in a 25-17 loss. In the next set the Griffins jumped out to an early lead, but the Nittany Lions fared better in the second with 12 kills. Unfortunately Abington couldn't overcome the early deficit in a 25-18 loss in the second set.  Gwynedd Mercy finished off the Nittany Lions with another 25-18 win in the third set to complete the sweep.

Abington will travel to Rowan for a four game tournament over the weekend starting on Friday evening at 4:00 p.m.
