ABINGTON, PA. – The Penn State Abigton men's basketball hosted the NEAC reigning champions Lancaster Bible, but fell to the Chargers 82-61 on Friday night. After the loss the Nittany Lions fall to 8-8 overall and 5-2 in the conference.Â

Pernell Ghee (Germantown, PA) led the team with 15 points, and on the boards
Jordan Lomax (West Haven, CT) racked up eight rebounds and chipped in nine points.

The Chargers and Nittany Lions went back-and-forth in the first half, with seven lead changes in the first five minutes of the game. Abington pulled ahead to seven points up when
Charles Ervin (Quakertown, PA) went into the lane and earned his tough points in the paint. Lancaster Bible kept the game close and tied the game with 5:18 left on the clock. Abington stayed ahead down the stretch thanks to their clutch shooting at the stripe, and held a 36-35 lead at the break.

In the second half the Chargers came out with momentum and a 15-6 run to take the double-digit lead. The visitors stayed ahead thanks to their 58 percent shooting from the floor, and the Nittany Lions couldn't knock down their shots with only a 32 percent average. A huge 16-6 run late in the second half helped the Charges solidify their lead and the win.

The Nittany Lions will look to rebound when they hit the road against Penn College on Wednesday January 23, at 8:00 p.m.
