ABINGTON, Pa. – Senior Forward
Hernando Villamil became the all-time leading scorer for the Penn State Abington men's soccer team after a 5-0 rout of Neumann on Wednesday afternoon. With the win the Nittany Lions improve to 4-4 for the season.
Sophomore forward
David Panea netted two goals for the Nittany Lions while junior
Sebastian Krysztofowicz earned a goal and two assists in the game.
The Nittany Lions came out swinging in the first half and earned a corner in the 9
th minute of action. Junior
Jose Palomeque swung in the corner and met
Michael Albers for the header into the back of the net. Next Villamil led Panea with a great through ball that was finished to the near post. Later Panea put the Nittany Lions up 3-0 in the 24
th minute with another fantastic goal assisted by Krysztofowicz.
In the second half Villamil made his only shot of the game count scoring his 36
th career goal to overtake Elision Pajollari as the programs all-time leading scorer. In the 65
th minute Krystifowicz joined the party with his fourth goal of the season.
Up next the Nittany Lions will host Gallaudet in a conference showdown on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
