BRYN MAWR, PA- The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team snapped a four game losing streak by picking up a 3-1 win on the road against Bryn Mawr College. The Nittany Lions improve to 7-14 on the season.
The Owls took set one in a close 25-22 defeat over Abington. The Nittany Lions responded by dominating in the next three sets taking home the 25-10, 25-10, and 25-17 victory.
Freshman
Gianna Strazza (Scarsdale, NY) had a personal best and season high recording 21 digs, 10 kills, and 5 aces. Sophomore
Jenny McAnaney (Maple Glen, PA) continued to stay hot by leading Abington with 26 kills, 14 digs, 4 aces, and a block. Junior
Kaitlyn Carey-Miller (Philadelphia, PA) collected a season best tallying eight assists, eight digs, two aces, and a kill.
Abington will host a trimatch this Saturday featuring NEAC opponent Lancaster Bible and Delaware Valley. The Nittany Lions will take on the Chargers at 12:00pm, followed by the Aggies at 4:00pm.
