KEUKA, NY – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team held a 2-0 lead in the second half, but couldn't hold on in a 3-2 loss to Keuka College on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fall to 8-6 for the season and 6-3 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
The first half of the match was a stalemate for the Nittany Lions and Wolves with both teams getting chances in front of the net. Neither team was able to break through until
Hernando Villamil netted his conference leading 15
th goal of the season in the 48
th minute. Defender
Alec Howser netted his first career goal for the Nittany Lions later in the 62
nd minute to give Abington the 2-0 lead. The Wolves woke up and clawed their way back in the 69
th minute with a goal from Chris Millard. Millard shifted momentum in the Wolves favor with another goal in the 75
th minute and in the 78
th minute completed the hat-trick to put away the Nittany Lions.
Abington will look to rebound when they host SUNY Cobleksill on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
