LANCASTER, PA- The Penn State Abington women's basketball team traveled to Lancaster Bible on Saturday afternoon to face the Chargers for their final game of the regular season. Despite 24 points from senior
Shayna Rodriguez (Philadelphia, PA), the Nittany Lions were defeated 67-61. Abington finishes the regular season with a 11-13 record overall and 8-8 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.Â

 The Nittany Lions and the Chargers battled intensely in the first half, with LBC taking the 26-24 lead at halftime.
Shayna Rodriguez hit a buzzer beater jump shot in the paint at the end of the third quarter, to give Abington a 46-44 advantage. However,  Abington struggled greatly in the fourth quarter, unable to score a bucket for four minutes straight. This gave Lancaster Bible the opportunity to take the win. Â
Abington will advance to the NEAC Tournament as the number 3 seed in the South Division. They will travel and face the number 2 seed, the College of Saint Elizabeth , on Tuesday February 19 at 7:00pm.Â
