ABINGTON, Pa. - The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team hosted Alverina University for its season opener, but the Nittany Lions fell 22-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Junior attacker Alynn Phelan (Philadelphia, PA) scored the lone goal for the Nittany Lions while freshman goalkeeper Cheyanne Grumm (Upper Moreland, PA) started her collegiate career with 10 saves in goal.

The Nittany Lions will be back in action next Saturday when they host Elizabethtown College at 1:00 p.m.
