ABINGTON, P.A.- The Penn State Abington men's tennis team played their home season opener this afternoon by hosting Penn State Brandywine. The Nittany Lions fell to Brandywine 5-4 and start the spring season with an 0-1 record.
Abington split their six singles matches with wins from
Michael Litz (Huntingdon Valley, PA),
Youssef Omar (Westlake, OH), and
Ilker Erkut (Philadelphia, PA). In doubles action, pair
Michael Litz and
Youssef Omar earned the lone win for the Nittany Lions by defeating their opponents 8-1.Â
The Nittany Lions will be back in action next Saturday March 23rd when they host Delaware Valley at 12:00pm.Â
