COBLESKILL, NY- The Penn State Abington women's softball team dropped two games in a doubleheader match up against NEAC opponent SUNY Cobleskill. The Nittany Lions fall to 7-3 in conference and 12-17 overall.
In game one, Abington had seven total hits, one from
Samantha Friend (Southampton, PA),
Stephanie Andreoli (Richboro, PA),
Becca Dougherty (Churchville, PA),
Akia Marshall (Albuquerque, NM),
Danielle Hebling (Warminster, Pa.),
Jailyn Bishop (Philadelphia, PA), and
Mary Kate Smith (Springfield, PA). The Cobleskill tigers were able to score five runs off of nine hits and defeat Abington 5-3.
Cobleskill once again out hit the Nittany Lions in game two with nine hits for a final 3-2 victory. Abington had hits from
Stephanie Andreolia, Marykate Smith, Akira Marshall,
Becca Dougherty,
Jackie McMenamin, and
Ryann Rhoades.
Tomorrow Abington will travel to SUNY Poly for a 9:30am match.
