ABINGTON, PA. – The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team hosted Medaille College but couldn't tame the Mavericks in a 25-5 loss on Sunday afternoon.  After the defeat the Nittany Lions fall to 2-10 for the season and 1-4 in the conference.

The Nittany Lions went up early when Alynn Phelan (Philadelphia, PA) scored within the first 11 seconds of the game. Medaille responded by scoring three goals within the next few minutes until Phelan broke the streak with her second of the game. The Mavericks took control with a seven goal runs struggled in the attack. Lauren O'Keeffe (Yardley, PA) and Lillian Diesh (San Carlos, CA) were able to find the back of the net, but they weren't able to build momentum for the comeback.

Abington will hit the road next weekend when they travel to Wells College on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
