Softball Splits with Penn College

ABINGTON, PA- The Penn State Abington women's softball team played their final game of the regular season this afternoon when they hosted the Penn College Wildcats. The Nittany Lions split the day, improving to 16-21 overall and 11-7 in conference.

Game one started off with four scoreless innings from both Penn College and Abington. It wasn't until the fifth inning when the Wildcats had a huge one out triple, that later scored the first run of the game. With a 1-0 lead, Penn College added five more runs in the top of the 7th inning to take home the 6-0 win. Senior Danielle Hebling (Warminster, Pa.) went 2 for 3 for the Nittany Lions with a double.

Abington bounced back in game two and out hit the wildcats 10-3. Hebling continued her phenomenal day at the plate with a 2 for 2 performance, alongside fellow senior teammate Becca Dougherty (Churchville, PA). Dougherty and Hebling each had a double in game two that contributed to Abington's 5-1 win. Kourtney Schneider (Ewing, NJ) ended the day 2 for 3, while Jackie McMenamin (Oreland, PA) drove in 2 runs.
