Camden, NJ- The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team traveled to Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday evening, but fell to the Scarlet Raptors 3-1. This was the fourth consecutive win for the Raptors since 2016 when facing Abington. The Nittany Lions fall to 4-4 on the season, and 0-3 on the road. 

Despite out blocking the Raptors 14-4, Abington fell in sets one (25-18), three (25-15), and four (25-16). The hardest fought match came in set two when Abington picked up a 26-24 win. As a team, the Nittany Lions tallied 10 kills, and 3 aces.

Teammates Katharine Costello (New Hope, PA) and Samantha Link (Southampton, PA) picked up 10 kills each on the night, while freshman Jenny McAnaney (Maple Glen, PA) fired out seven. Gaby Shreve (Marshall, MI) led Abington in digs tallying 24, a personal best and season high. Shreve currently leads Abington in digs on the season with a total of 86.

Abington will be back in action this Friday when they travel to Muhlenberg College to face the College of Mount Saint Vincent for a 5:00pm match.
