BRYN ATHYN, PA- NEAC freshman player of the week Katharine Costello (New Hope, PA) recorded a season high of 33 kills in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bryn Athyn on Wednesday night. The Nittany Lions improve to 6-10 overall.
 
Sophomore Jenny McAnaney (Maple Glen, PA) set a season high of 25 digs to help Abington take the first two sets with ease in 25-15 and 25-17 triumphs. Bryn Athyn refused to go down without a fight, going on a 6 point streak in set three to battle their way to a 25-23 victory. Abington was just four shy points away from a win in set four, until Bryn Athyn  responded with three kills and a service ace to force a fifth and final set.
 
Senior Cortney Schwar (Annandale, NJ) set McAnaney up for the closing kill in set five to take home a final 15-12 defeat and 3-2 win on the night. Schwar collected a season high of 46 assists.

Up next Abington will travel to NEAC opponent Gallaudet University this Friday for the Worthington Classic beginning at 2:00pm.
