WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Nittany Lions traveled to NEAC opponent Gallaudet University on Friday evening for the two day Worthington Classic. Abington dropped two games on day one to the Gallaudet Bison and Marymount University. The Nittany Lions fall to 6-12 on the season, and 1-2 in conference.

Despite 12 saves and 13 digs from freshman NEAC player of the week
Katharine Costello (New Hope, PA), the Nittany Lions got shut out by the Bison in three sets 25-16, 25-14, and 25-18.

In game two, Costello again led Abington in kills with 19 and in digs with a total of 16. The Nittany Lions dropped set one 25-15, and battled closely in set two but fell short 25-21. Marymount closed the game with an easy 25-19 defeat in set three.

Abington will look to bounce back tomorrow during day two of the Worthington Classic, when they face SUNY Cortland at 10:00am.
