ABINGTON, Pa. – Behind a huge performance from
Mark Davis and
John Ryan, the Penn State Abington men's basketball team scored a 94-51 win over Penn State Berks on Wednesday night. After the big win the Nittany Lions improve to 9-12 and 4-8 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

Abington smothered Berks and held their rivals to the lowest points ever scored against Abington (51) since joining the NCAA.

Leading the way for the Nittany Lions was Davis with 19 points and right behind Ryan netted 18 points to bring his career total to 989 points, only 11 shy of a career milestone.

In the first half Berks held an slim 11-10 lead after six minutes of action, but the Nittany Lions caught fire and after three consecutive turnovers that were taken to the rim, Abington took an 18-11 lead. This sparked a 27-3 run for Abington and helped to take a commanding lead over Berks. By halftime Abington held a 42-22 advantage thanks to creating turnovers and capitalizing with 11 fast break points.

Out of the gate Abington continued where they left off in the first half with back-to-back three balls from
Mohamed Mansaray and Ryan. Abington continued to press Berks and earned a 22-5 run in the first seven minutes of action. A layup from
Amir Hill pushed Abington's lead to 40 points, on top of the visitors 69-29. Â The hosts continued their dominance throughout the second half and never took their foot off the gas. Coming late into the game
Rodeo Thompson three buckets in the final two minutes to put his stamp on the game.

Abington will return to action when they host Wells College on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Before the game the Nittany Lions will honor seniors
