ABINGTON, Pa. – Fresh off their record setting performance against Penn State Berks, the Penn State Abington men's basketball team cruised to a 63-47 win over Wells College on senior day. Abington improves to 10-12 overall and 5-8 in the conference.

The previous record that Abington set for points of 51 against Penn State Berks was broken for the second time this week, when the Nittany Lions halted the Express.

On his senior day,
Rodeo Thompson led the way for the Nittany Lions with 13 points and right behind
Amir Hill netted 12 points in the win.

In the first half both teams struggled to score early with Abington holding a 12-9 lead after eight minutes off the clock. Â Sophomore
Mohamed Mansaray kick started a 12-0 run when he sliced up the lane and scored the basket drawing a foul. After the and one, the Nittany Lions continued their run holding a 24-9 lead before the Express could get back on the board. With two minutes on the clock Abington held a 33-15 advantage after getting tough points in the paint. Wells started to roll at the end of the half draining a three, and another shot to cut the deficit still down 33-20.

Hill set the tone early in the second half draining a his first shot and back-to-back three's to put the Nittany Lions even further up on the Express. Â Wells chipped away at the lead and hung around down 43-34 with 13 minutes remaining in the game. A pair of bucks from
Alex Podolski shifted momentum back in the Nittany Lions favor, and
Alex Salata III capped off the run with his shot from downtown. The express tried to get back into the game but the Nittany Lions answered their shots and held off the visitors with a strong defensive display.

Abington returns to action when they host a tough test in Lancaster Bible on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m.
