ABINGTON, PA. – After an earlier loss to Moravian this season, the Penn State Abington men's soccer team hosted the Greyhounds for a revenge game but came away with a 0-0 draw on Wednesday night. The Nittany Lions move to 4-5-3 for the season.
Taking advantage of the opportunity
Brendan Werner got the start in the sticks and came up big with 10 saves for the Nittany Lions.
The Nittany Lions best chance of the half came in the 42
rd minute when Elijo Agolli crossed the ball to the far post that was going to be tucked in by Colin Ounan, but the defender cleared it off the line for a corner kick.
Abington came out the break and pressured again with
Michael Thomas firing a shot to the low corner but was parried out by the keeper.
In the overtime periods neither team could break the deadlock and would settle for the draw.
The Nittany Lions will be back in action when they host regionally ranked St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
