ABINGTON, PA. - Â The Penn State Abington men's soccer team hosted regionally ranked St. Marys College of Maryland but dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 loss in overtime on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fall to 4-6-3 for the season and 1-2-2 in the conference.

Matt Sheldon had a solid outing in the net with six saves. Senior
Alec Howser picked up his first goal of the season and second of his career.
The Seahawks were first on the board in the 16
th minute when they converted off a corner when Jacob Breslauer headed into the top of the net to give the visitors the 1-0 lead. Later in the half Howser earned a penalty when he took a tumble in the box and was given the penalty. The senior stepped up to the spot and put it into the back of the net to the low left post.
All tied 1-1 after the break neither team could break through in regulation and were forced into overtime. Five minutes into the first overtime period the Seahawks attacker picked up a ball that deflected off the defender and fired it to the top left corner to give St. Mary's the win.
Abington will look to rebound when they travel to Penn State Berks this week on Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m.
