GWYNEDD, PA. – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team traveled to Gwynedd Mercy for a tri-match but came away empty handed losing both games on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fell to the hosting Griffins 3-1, and then battled FDU Flourham but also fell to the Devils 3-2. The Nittany Lions fall to 9-10 after both losses today.

Jenny McAnaney led the team with 41 kills between both matches and chipped in 36 digs. Junior libero Gabby Shreve put in a shift with 55 digs to lead the Nittany Lions
The Nittany Lions dropped the first game by a 25-16, 30-28, 25-17, and 25-17 score line to the Griffins.  But in the second match Abington went down early again 25-17 but battled throughout the match. Abington took the second set 25-22, and lost the third 25-15. Abington came from behind in the fourth set to tie the match 2-2 after a close 25-23 win. The Devils took the match after a 15-11 battle in the final set.
Abington will be back in action when they host a United East Conference Tri-Match featuring Lancaster Bible at 11:00 AM and Morrisville State at 3:00 p.m.
