ABINGTON, Pa. – In her final home match with the Nittany Lions senior
Jenny McAnaney led the Nittany Lions to a split in their tri-match against Gallaudet and Wells College on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions move to 10-14 overall and 1-5 in the United East conference.

Prior to the game McAnaney was honored for her prolific career with the Nittany Lions. The senior led the Nittany Lions in kills for the day with 17 between both games and sophomore
Emma de Mey racked up seven service aces against Wells College.

In the first match Gallaudet was in control winning a 3-0 decision over the Nittany Lions after a 25-13, 25-18 and 25-12 sweep.

Against Wells the Nittany Lions bounced back winning the first set 25-18 after starting the match with a huge 12-2 run. In the second set the game was close with the Nittany Lions holding a 16-13 advantage. Abington closed out the match with a 9-1 run to finish off the Express 25-14. Again, in the third set the Nittany Lions started out hot with a pair of kills from McAnaney to take a 5-0 lead. The Express rallied and tied the game 16-16 but Abington heated up again on 7-1 run taking advantage of five attack errors from the express. The Nittany Lions sealed the match with McAnaney's final kill at home to win 25-18.

Abington will finish their season next weekend when they travel to Penn College for a tri-match against Penn State Berks and the hosting Wildcats at 2:00 p.m.
