ABINGTON, PA. – In their final non-conference game of the season the Penn State Abington women's soccer team rallied but fell short in a 2-1 loss to Immaculata on Tuesday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fall 10 7-7-1 after their defeat.

Grace Burns picked up another brining her total this season to 11 to lead the Nittany Lions.
Abington outshot the Mighty Macs 20-12 and forced the keeper to make 15 saves but unfortunately couldn't tie the match.
In the first half the Nittany Lions only tested the keeper twice and held Mighty Macs off the board till right before the break. With only five seconds left in the half the visitors broke through with a goal to the far post.
After the break the Immaculata took a 2-0 lead after netting another goal in the 52
nd minute. Moments later the Nittany Lions won a penalty in the box, but the keeper did well to save the shot and keep the Nittany Lions off the board. Abington pushed to get onto the scoresheet but were stonewalled by the keeper until late in the game. In the 83ed minute Burns broke through the defense and beat the keeper to the right post to put the Nittany Lions back in the game. Abington fired four more shots on target but couldn't force overtime.
Abington will conclude their season when they host Morrisville State at 2:30 p.m. Prior to the game the Nittany Lions will honor their seniors for their contribution to the program.
