CHAMBERSBURG, PA. – A goal from senior
Allison Barr proved to be the winner for the Nittany Lions as they traveled to Wilson College and came away with a 2-0 win on Wednesday night. Abington improves to 2-1-1 for the season after the win.

Julia Boccella picked up her first collegiate goal in the second half.
In the first half the Phoenix outshot the Nittany Lions 7-1 but
Madison McDowell did well between the sticks to keep the game scoreless in the first half.
After the break in the Nittany Lions turned on the gas, and were rewarded early when Barr picked up her first goal of the season in the 47
th minute of action. Wilson tried to respond quickly with a corner, but failed to convert their chance. Moments later in the 56
th minute Boccella doubled the Nittnay Lions lead with her goal. Abington were the more dangerous side in the second half with seven shots and four on target. Wilson had four shots of their own but they weren't dangerous enough to test the keeper.
Abington will face a tough test this weekend when they open conference play against Penn State Harrisburg in a critical match on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
