ABINGTON, PA. – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team hosted the reigning United East Champions but couldn't pull off the upset in a 3-1 loss on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fall to 2-3 on the season and 0-1 in the conference.
In the first half Harrisburg were on the board first when the visitors picked up a foul right outside the box and converted their chance off the free kick. Abington responded almost immediately and
Michael Thomas picked up his second goal of the season after a nice pass in from the right wing from Colin Ounan and put in by Thomas.
Coming out of the break the visitors built momentum and took the lead in the 49
th minute of action. The visitors continued to press Abington with 10 second half shots and were rewarded again in the 80
th minute with another goal to put the game out of reach.
Abington will be back in action when they host Wilson College on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
