Abington Falls Short Against Lancaster Bible, 2-0

Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team dropped a United East Conference (UEC) contest to visiting Lancaster Bible College by the score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Field.

How It Happened
 
* Lancaster Bible jumped out to a 1-0 lead early on in the first half.  Clark Shreiner connected on his eighth goal of the season with Andrew Cox assisting on the play in the 10th minute.

* The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Chargers through the rest of the half.  Lancaster Bible would go on to double its lead in the 65th minute when Kedric Yoder scored a breakaway goal to make it a 2-0 game.  It marked his eighth of the season.

* Junior goalkeeper Matt Sheldon made two saves in the game which now gives him 111 for his career.  He is currently tied for third on the program's all-time list with Esteban Leon.  With his two saves, Sheldon now has 60 on the year which ranks sixth most in a single season.
 
* Abington held a slight edge on shots, 10-9, while Lancaster Bible held an advantage on corner kicks, 5-4. 
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 12th meeting between Abington and Lancaster Bible since the start of the 2011 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 6-4-2 versus the Chargers in the all-time series.

Abington returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 as the Nittany Lions travel to face Penn College for a United East contest.  Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
