ABINGTON, PA -- Penn State Abington dominated on both sides of the basketball in its 86-24 victory over visiting Penn State Berks in a United East Conference women's basketball contest.

Abington (7-11, 6-4) had a well-rounded scoring effort from the jump, with four players scoring its first 25 points.
Lacy MacLachlin got things going with a three-pointer off a
Wynter Bess assist. MacLachlin finished the night with a team-high five three-pointers, totaling 16 points. She also added a career-best 11 rebounds and dished out three assists.

Bess led Abington in scoring with 21 points off of 45 percent shooting. She also dishing out six assists and recorded five steals.

Safara McIntyre had five steals as well in a defensive masterclass. McIntyre led Abington with 16 rebounds while also scoring 12 points on the night.
Camille Fleming was right behind McIntyre, pulling in 13 rebounds for Abington. She also finished with 15 points on 7-for-11 shooting.

Cassie Tavormina was phenomenal for Abington in transition, having been a crucial part of its 19 fast break points. Tavormina ended the night with 20 points on 50% shooting.
Alexis Hunter saw 20 minutes of action and notched two points, six rebounds and two assists.

As a team, Abington shot 50 percent from the floor while holding Berks (0-15, 0-8) to just 15 percent from the field on 58 shots.

Penn State Abington is back in action this Saturday, February 5 (3 p.m.) when it travels to Lancaster Bible College for a crucial conference match-up.
