ABINGTON, PA -- Penn State Abington seniors
Mohamed Mansaray and
Alex Salata III shined during tonight's United East Conference match-up against visiting Penn State Harrisburg, but it, wasn't enough in an 82-61 setback.
Abington fell to 12-11 overall and 6-8 in conference action while Harrisburg, the defending conference champions who are receiving votes in the national poll, upped its marks to 21-2 and 14-1. Â

Abington had a phenomenal start to the game, fighting closely with Harrisburg for the entire first half. Salata III helped get Abington rolling, nailing a three-pointer off a Mansaray assist, while Mansaray had his own three just a few possessions later. Mansaray scored 11 of Abington's 33 points in the stanza as it trailed by just four at the break. The team was on fire from deep in the opening 20 minutes, hitting seven of 17 attempts from beyond the arc.
Harrisburg pulled away in the second half, outscoring Abington by a 45-28 margin. Part of the reason was second-chance points as Harrisburg had a 13-2 edge in the category in the second half. Dylan Daniels led the team with 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting and also added 10 boards on the evening.
Mansaray finished with four three-pointers on the night, scoring a team-high 16 points. Salata III hit three from downtown and finished with 11 points while
Kolby Miller finished in double digits with 12 points.

Penn State Abington wraps up its season with a trip to upstart New York this weekend. The squad will take on SUNY Morrisville on Friday night before meeting Wells College on Saturday. The Nittany Lions need at least one victory to assure themselves of a winning record for the second time in the last three seasons of competition. Â
