Penn State Abington remained perfect on its Spring Break trip to Florida as the Nittany Lions downed Husson College, 16-6. The game was called after eight innings.
The win was the third straight in as many days in the Sunshine State for Penn State Abington, which improved to 5-2 overall.
Husson held a 6-3 advantage after five innings of play before the Nittany Lions got one in the sixth and took the lead with four in the seventh. All four in the seventh came off the bat of 
Josh Baar as he came off the bench and smashed a pinch-hit grand slam. Penn State Abington then put the game away with eight runs in the eighth inning.
Ryan McCarty was a triple shy of the cycle as he went 3-for-6, including his fifth home run of the year. He scored two times and knocked in two. 
Chase Swain was 4-for-5 with three runs scored while four other players had multiple-hit games. 
Jacob Hillegass pitched two innings of scoreless relief while Jamie Burkhart pitched a scoreless seventh and got the win as the Nittany Lions took the lead in that stanza. 
Joe DiMaria started and permitted just four earned runs in four innings.
