Abington Drops Conference Match at Lancaster Bible

Lancaster, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's tennis team fell to Lancaster Bible College by the score of 9-0 in United East Conference (UEC) action on Tuesday afternoon at the Hempfield Rec Center.

How It Happened
 
* In doubles play, Michelle Ly and Emina Mulaosmanovic battled Cara DiCiano and Kenedi Berkhimer at first flight.  The Lancaster Bible duo though came away with the 8-6 victory to earn the point.  The Chargers finished doubles with a 3-0 match lead.
 
* Mulaosmanovic went the distance in her third singles match with Madi Strickler.  She won the first set, 6-4, before Strickler tied the score with a 6-1 victory in set two.  Strickler went on to win the third set tie-break, 10-4. 
 
* Lancaster Bible won all six singles competitions to complete the match shutout.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 12th meeting between Abington and Lancaster Bible since the start of the 2011-12 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 10-2 versus the Chargers in that span.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Thursday, April 14 as the Nittany Lions face off against Albright College at home in a non-conference contest.  Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
