Abington Downs Mustangs, 3-1

Morrisville, N.Y. – Sophomore Arsene Bado scored two goals as the Penn State Abington men's soccer team defeated Morrisville State College by the score of 3-1 in United East Conference (UEC) action on Saturday afternoon at Drake Field.

How It Happened
 
* Bado broke a scoreless tie late in the first half with his first of two goals on the day.  Sophomore Louie Lare assisted on Bado's goal in the 33rd minute.
 
* The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Nittany Lions until early in the second half when Abington doubled its lead.  Sophomore Eljo Agolli converted a penalty kick after Morrisville committed a foul inside the box in the 52nd minute.
 
* Later in the half, Morrisville cut the lead to 2-1 when Olvin Yanes scored his fifth goal of the season in the 62nd minute.
 
* Abington tacked on an insurance goal in the 82nd minute when Bado connected on his second goal of the game and fifth on the year.  Junior Mike Thomas assisted Bado on the score.
 
Inside the Box Score
 
* Bado's two scores marked his first career multi goal game.  He now leads the team in scoring with five goals, while Agolli is second with four after his penalty kick score in the second half.
 
* Junior goalkeeper Matt Sheldon picked up the win in net after making five saves.
 
* Abington outshot the Mustangs by a 16-9 margin, including 9-6 with shots on-goal. 
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 13th meeting between Abington and Morrisville since the start of the 2011 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 6-5-2 versus the Mustangs in the all-time series.

Abington returns to action on Monday, Sept. 26 as the Nittany Lions play host to Rutgers-Camden in a non-conference contest.  Game time is set for 4 p.m. at Memorial Field.
