Owings, Mills, Md. – The Penn State Abington women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest on the road against Stevenson University by the score of 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Owings Mills East.

How It Happened
 
* Both teams battled to a 0-0 deadlock through the first 81 minutes of action, however in the 82nd minute Stevenson's Kylie DonBullian broke through with the game's first goal to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead. 
 
* The Mustangs added another goal in the 88th minute when Michelle Mesquita scored her first goal of the season to make the score 2-0.
 
Inside the Box Score
 
* Freshman goalkeeper Rachel Wilfrid kept the Nittany Lions in the game through the very end as she recorded a season-high seven saves after facing 24 shots by the Mustangs. 
 
* Sophomore Madison McDowell registered a team-high five shots for the Nittany Lions.
 
* Stevenson outshot Abington by a 24-7 margin, including 11-1 in the second half. 
 
* The Mustangs' Courtney Wysokowski made four saves in net to preserve the shutout.

Today marked the first-ever meeting between Abington and Stevenson.
